S.T.E.P.S. Certification Process

Pattonville School District believes that technology is an integral part of a quality educational environment. The district's mission is to ensure that all staff will learn to utilize technology as a tool to analyze, communicate, and research. It is a district expectation that administrators, teachers, and staff will work toward and receive district-defined Technology Certification. Not all support staff will be expected to pursue technology certification. Technology certification should be completed within a three-year period. Training required over the three-year period is approximately 50 hours. This time may be reduced by "testing-out" of required courses. Course work is scheduled after school or on-line in order to avoid the loss of instructional time from teachers being "pulled-out" of the classroom.
